Prince was born on June 7th, 1958 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and went on to become one of the most influential musicians of all time. He never lost touch with his roots in Minnesota and called it home his entire life. He help put the Minnesota music scene on the map and continued to invest his talent into our community and help foster a new generation of musicians.
We should honor his legacy and declare his birthday an official state holiday.
