Dear Petition Signers,

Thank you all you've done thus far to help our movement. I started this petition because no survivor of violence should ever endure what I went through. And I knew someone of my background had a moral obligation - protect those like him. Having worked nearly 15 years in federal audit & compliance, to use my autism, experience, and education to ensure survivors of violence are protected...

But right now? Right now I could use your help. Despite 10+ neck surgeries, despite being a triple rape survivor, despite being autistic, despite opioid usage for 10+ years, despite all these things, I eventually finished two masters of science, one of the top students in my first year law class, lost 80 pounds, quit opioids, and found a way to believe in happiness again. 

But today, I find myself in painful darkness. The hope in my heart is breaking. Despite all my numerous accomplishments,  I never found work after the attack. In this moment, I'm asking myself if my attacker won?
