Per Reddit Post, even the employees hate it and think they're doing illegal stuff.

Primary-Tangelo-9017: "I worked there several years ago. It was a very “mean girl” environment. Bad managers hiring more bad managers and good employees being treated badly or overlooked for promotions. No actual sympathy for violent crime survivors from the top. Liked the work, but not the management. I know at least one good manager in customer service."
Savings_Secretary818: "Horrible leadership when I left several years back! incompetent, don’t follow the statute that governs the board."
Iknowitall555: "My least favorite department to work at. The exec team is terrible! They push out people who do not share the same mindset. Like someone said, it’s mean girls. I saw a handful of executives leave during my two years, not by choice. The people they replaced have no backbone and will not stand behind the staff. Lots of finger pointing. The new IT DEO is ok. Admin DEO, be careful. Assistant Admin DEO is a terrible mean person. Same with the program DEO. Legal DEO, pray you don’t have to work with her. It’s all bad. Don’t join!"

"I used to work there in IT. It is a complete mess, top to bottom. 12 of the 37 positions are open for more than a year. They never had a 100% staffed IT Division in a decade. There is no consultants to do staff augmentation and so state staff is asked to work over time without compensation for meeting self imposed deadlines. The EO is an amateur in Goverment, the exec team came from EDD which is mostly run by consultants and they have no clue how to run a 100% staff run organization. 90% of the apps received for compensation never realizes in payment to a victim. Deny rates have sky rocketed since 2022 when the mandatory work at site was implemented. Staff sick leave consumption had increased since 2022 and it is a pattern that more sick leaves on the assigned day at work. Due to lack of leadership, they still run a production system in Windows NT and an obsolete IBM DB2 version."
A former employee admitting over 90% of applicants wont' receive a penny, even though state law is clear -- if you meet the criteria, YOU MUST BE PAID OUT!!!
