In a time of required social distancing, the privileged amongst us in the United States of America are enjoying the safety and security of innovative grocery delivery services.

But what about our lower income citizens who rely on SNAP/WIC/EBT and other programs to buy groceries?

Unfortunately, these citizens are disqualified from using their benefits for grocery  delivery.  

State and Federal Leaders:
Our elderly, immunocompromised, sick, or those recently discharged from the hospital should NOT be required to have to physically go to grocery stores to get food so that they don't go hungry.

It is inhumane to force low income citizens to have to choose between going hungry and getting/spreading the Coronavirus.

While food donation services are able to fill the gap today, they will be insufficient as this pandemic continue at it's current trajectory. 

These vulnerable citizens of ours are already at a higher risk for immunocompromised diseases and will be infected and killed at a higher rate than the general population.

We beg you to:
1) Remove all restrictions on utilizing government funding for grocery delivery services and
2) Require all grocery stores and food delivery services to accept government funded payment mechanisms like SNAP/WIC/EBT
