We are calling on the community to support the establishment of the Ipswich Chinese Society—a new initiative to reinvigorate the Chinese community in Ipswich and surrounding areas while fostering integration, cultural development, and education.

Why We Need the Ipswich Chinese Society
Ipswich’s Chinese community is diverse and growing, encompassing new expats from Hong Kong, international students, mixed-heritage individuals, and long-standing residents. The Ipswich Chinese Society aims to:

• Build connections across generations and cultural backgrounds.
• Offer creative outlets such as painting, photography, and performance workshops.
• Create collaborative showcases (from the workshops) for major celebrations, including the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival 2025 and Lunar New Year 2026.

Our Vision
At its core, the Ipswich Chinese Society will foster connection and celebration. Through regular gatherings, creative projects, and partnerships—such as with the Anglo Chinese Culture Exchange (ACCE)—we will create opportunities for meaningful engagement. This initiative is not just for individuals of Chinese heritage but for everyone interested in learning about and celebrating Chinese culture.
