The Issue

Our school community is rich in diversity, with many of us having immigrant parents and family members. Some of us are immigrants ourselves. This issue is personal, and it's time we take a stand to increase awareness and protect our community members who contribute so much to our school and society. The presence of ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) is a source of fear and anxiety for many students and families. It's time to voice our concerns and make our school a sanctuary of safety and inclusiveness.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement, commonly known as ICE, has a controversial history of raids and deportations, often resulting in the separation of families and creating a climate of fear amongst immigrant communities. According to the American Immigration Council, there are approximately 11 million undocumented immigrants in the United States, many of whom live in constant fear of deportation, threatening the social fabric of communities across the country.

We want our school to be a space where everyone feels secure and supported, no matter their immigration status. By organizing a protest against ICE, we aim to send a powerful message to our school administration: our community’s well-being and security should come first.

Sign this petition if you believe in the importance of education over intimidation, unity over division. With your support, we can make a strong appeal to our school administration to stand in solidarity with immigrant students and families and commence an abolish ICE protest at our school. Let’s be the change we want to see. Your signature can make a difference. Please sign and share this petition to help us reach our goal!
