My intention was not to throw any hate towards SSE and I don’t want people to use this petition to send them any hate. I love this game and they are doing an amazing job! 
I PERSONALLY don’t mind things taking time, the weekly updates, new horses, anything that has to do with the game itself.  HECK I love the new area so much! It really shows the potential of this game! I am a creative person myself, to make good things you need time, great tools and motivation. I can somewhat understand what the developers are going through.  What TRULY bothers me is the lack of new, easy and proper tools for their workers. I have heard about their game engine, how much problem it causes. This is why there’s bugs all the time, there’s a slow progress in making/releasing quests, events and much more. Different teams has different tasks. It’s overly complicated for them and it shouldn’t have to be that way.

I made this petition, not only because of the Facebook post further down; but to make sure the workers are provided with good tools and are paid enough etc!

Horse related games for young girls/women are not common, especially not MMORPG. Many players are getting inpatient because of the lack of variety of updates and the slow progress. We paid for it and we don't want it to go wasted because we love this game and it deserves better. It's a little place to get away from real life and be a heroine on the horseback in a different world, it would be a shame if it went down the drain"

"With the lack of April Fools update, I decided it was time to do some digging. Like many older players, I too am disappointed by the removal of many holidays, lack of new quests (especially regarding the main storyline), and the constant barrage of new horses being released. The community has argued about why, some defending the creators and blaming a small, overworked staff, others outright claiming the creators don’t care about their audience anymore and only care about making money. So, what’s the real reason?

In order to find it, I first wanted to know how many people worked at Star Stable. We know they have at least 2 teams making horses, not to mention teams working on other things, so I wondered what the split looked like. The answer a few years ago seemed to be a staff around around 55, but now seems closer to 150. While searching for this info, I stumbled across a job rating website, and wouldn’t you know that Star Stable had been reviewed by its own employees! And I think what they had to say was very telling. (The page they are talking about is Glassdoor.com)

Yes, the people who work on this game work hard. This is in no way an attack or a slam on anybody who has worked currently or previously. Yet it’s clear to me that while many of the devs care deeply about making an engaging game and creating more content, they are being stifled by poor tools and a management that only cares about money.

So in a way, everyone has been right. Yep, it’s true some people work really hard and want us to have an amazing game with all the stuff we’ve asked for. They actively listen to the community and are passionate/excited to share content with them. But there’s also a team that clearly only cares about money and pumping out horse breeds, and unfortunately, it’s the team in charge of everything, management.

They’ve released less and less of their other content, things like events, story quests, heck even some character designs. Remember years ago at Christmas when they teased the dark rider redesigns? Who killed them? Clearly the new management, as one review flat out states from 2019 they had plans going into the new year and new management changed it all. 

And at the end of the day, where is all this money going? Doesn’t seem like they’re using it to pay their debts (since that issue gets brought up in the employee reviews over the course of a few years), nor are they investing in better tools to help make game dev easier/faster, or even paying their employees a fair wage. I just feel so sad for some of these devs because it sounds like a lot of them have just given up and left. Another issue mentioned is the lack of seniority in the staff because of that. Makes you wonder if the people who wrote the original star rider stories even still work for SSO or are involved anymore. Maybe that’s why they haven’t had any real story quests in so long.

I love this game, I got my sisters to join during the pandemic and we’ve had a lot of fun together. I had fun watching my sisters experience the story again since it’s been so long since I completed it myself, but now like me, they’ve run out of things to do. We’re just waiting in limbo like everyone else. I would train my horses but honestly the races are the same old I’ve been playing for years. It’s painful to grind thru them every day for little/no reward."

The management can do more to make Starstable Online better! I don't exactly know how but two of the main issues seems to be the planning/priorities and the old game engine. I've read about how unique and complicated their game engine is, how it slows down and cause trouble. There is no game like this and it's important to us gamer girls and non-binaries to have our own little fantasy place to hang out and have fun.

The pandemic has affected us all, nevertheless the workers at Starstable Entertainment. I respect it and I understand they want to make money, who doesn't? They need to make money to go further, but the money don't seem to be the big issue for them? I personally love them releasing new or updated horses, which seems to be the main income because that's when players usually decide to spend their money on the game. The issue is, what has been mentioned before, variety in content.

Sadly, there's more. The chatting system is flawed, it's supposed to censor bad language and make players feel safe. It's obviously not working because people get bullied daily and like other games targeted minors, there will be pedophiles, who have been able to exploit on SSO. You can report players but these players usually don't get harsh punishments. My own experience is there has been players who got banned but had backup accounts to keep being insensitive and rude in the global chat. I have reported them multiple times but nothing is really happening. Starstable themselves have asked a player to ignore these people after multiple reports through mail and it's not right and goes against their own chat rules.
