As per the Times of India article - http://m.timesofindia.com/sports/football/epl/top-stories/To-watch-EPL-HD-channels-a-must-from-November/articleshow/53169003.cms - Star Sports is making Premier League HD only, i.e., Star Sports HD1, HD2, HD3 and HD4 will air the Premier League 2016/17 which are premium HD channels unlike the 2015/16 season which was aired in non-HD channels like Star Sports 1, 3 and 4. As Premier League is the most watched football league in India, this is Star Sports India's move to increase their HD subscribers. HD TV, now being a luxury rather than a necessity, is not affordable for all. Star Sports should change this and make the Premier League available for all by airing it in non-HD channels(SS1, SS2, SS4) as well.
