Update 29; Department of Health and Social Care response

Last month we wrote to Wes Streeting, the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care. 

Today we have received the following response from a "Correspondence Officer", Ministerial Correspondence and Public Enquiries at the Department of Health and Social Care;

"I was very sorry to read of your daughter Molly’s health problems and of the experiences that you describe. I appreciate your concerns.

The FASP 20-week screening scan guidance is a matter for NHS England. The Department is aware that NHS England wrote to you on 25 June stating that it would consider looking at the guidance. Since then, the relevant officials have met the Lead Commissioner of coronary heart disease services at National Specialised Commissioning NHS England to discuss this matter.

NHS England has agreed to review the guidance. Any changes will need to be evidence-based and take on board the views of a range of stakeholders.
