The Issue

The Islamic Republic has become a central source of insecurity and instability both for the people of Iran and for the wider region. In January alone, credible reports indicate that thousands of innocent civilians lost their lives. These were ordinary people whose only desire was to live in peace, provide for their families, and exercise their basic human rights.

A government that turns its weapons and security apparatus against its own citizens while continuing to pursue dangerous military capabilities represents a serious threat not only to its own population but also to regional and international stability.

For decades, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the broader power structure of the Islamic Republic have been responsible for systematic repression, violence, and destabilizing actions inside Iran and beyond its borders. As long as this structure remains intact, the cycle of repression at home and conflict abroad will continue.

Our clear and unequivocal demand is that the Islamic Republic surrender and relinquish its hold on power. The regime must immediately cease its violence against the Iranian people, dismantle the structures of repression, and allow the country to move toward a legitimate system chosen freely by its citizens.

Several international leaders, including Donald Trump, have publicly stated that many of the region’s ongoing conflicts are directly tied to the policies and actions of the Islamic Republic. This reflects a growing recognition among policymakers that lasting stability in the region cannot be achieved while the current system remains in power.

For this reason, the international community must remain firm and united. Any ongoing international intervention, pressure, or enforcement measures should not cease prematurely. These efforts must continue until the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the core power structure of the Islamic Republic are fully dismantled and the regime surrenders its authority.

The global community has a responsibility to stand with the people of Iran and support their fundamental rights. Governments, international organizations, and global institutions must work together to hold those responsible for violence and repression accountable while supporting a peaceful transition to a system that respects human rights, freedom, and the will of the Iranian people.

The people of Iran deserve dignity, safety, and the opportunity to determine their own future. Sustained international solidarity is essential to end the violence, dismantle the structures of repression, and create the conditions for a peaceful and democratic future.

A group of diverse diaspora united to see the Freedom of Iran.
