Today is Friday.
In Islam, it’s a sacred day.
But for Gaza, Friday and Thursday were the beating heart of life.
Thursday was joy ,weddings in every corner, songs echoing across rooftops, families preparing sweets, brides walking with hope in their eyes.
Friday was peace ,markets full of life, men and women dressing for prayer, children running to mosques, lunch shared between neighbors.
Today, all of that is gone.
Our Thursdays are filled with funerals.
Our Fridays are buried under rubble.
No laughter. No prayer. No bread.
And yet, in the ruins, people whisper, “Trump is coming Friday.”
As if a faraway power might save us.
As if anyone still cares.
But I no longer believe in miracles.
I believe in endings.
And I fear we are nearing ours.
So I ask again: if you believe we are human ,if you believe our lives matter .
What are you waiting for?
