5 Years of Change is great Victory!

Our Change.org supporters, When we started CERESAV five years ago, the strategic objectives were: •Promote a survivor led model instead of a representative model. •Make survivors take the lead in the campaign against acid attack violence in Uganda. •Create support groups and mentor survivors to become ambassadors in their communities to eliminate stigma, discrimination and the associated stereotypes. •Promote a facilitator leadership model to mentor survivors in our pioneer support groups to take the lead in the campaign against acid attack violence in Uganda. RESULTS ACHIEVED IN 5 YEARS: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYP-B3FkSeA) • There is more awareness of acid attack violence across Uganda. • More survivors are living pro-active independent lives. • More resources are now available to facilitate socio-economic sustainability. • New groups led by our support group ambassadors are emerging. • Scars have been unveiled and the face of acid attack violence has been changed. • There is more global recognition of acid attack violence in Uganda.
