A lot of KDP authors woke up to an email this morning regarding their earnings. A lot of them were told there was “fraudulent activity” on their account, but of course Amazon can’t say how they know this and won’t show proof. Demand proof of this activity before they’re allowed to strip authors of money they earned. 

This needs to change. Authors should be told what is happening on their accounts with their work. They should be told why they’re being stripped of royalties. A regular 9-5 job can’t say, “Oh we don’t feel like paying you for all your hard work this month, so we’re just going to pay half.”

This effects so many people beyond the authors, it effects readers, PAs, graphic designers, illustrations, editors, and more. Let’s get this petition where it needs to be and demand changes!! If we don’t act, we will lose a lot of authors from Kindle Unlimited, and this will ultimately disable a lot of people from reading as much as they like.
