We want to thank YOU again for supporting our fight against racism in New Mexico. We appreciate all the support and solidarity, energy and love you've all sent us throughout this ordeal.

The most recent update we have about unregistered real estate company, Santa Rita Land and Cattle Company LLC, in New Mexico that is attempting to illegally remove us from our land and steal our hard-earned investment is that they've recently filed a petition with 13th District Court to reconsider the decision that was made by Judge Rael.

In January 2019 we went in front of Judge Rael with a witness and fellow landowner in our subdivision who could attest to the fact that there are no other people of color who have purchased land in our area and that we are the only people not being allowed to cure a debt after late payments were received. Judge Rael ruled that we didn't have to leave the property and that we didn't owe rent, at the moment, for the time we've been on the property after the real estate company illegally denied a payment and then canceled our contract the very next day. The Judge let us know that we filed our counterclaim wrong and directed us to find legal guidance and file properly.

The motion is comical, to a point. The real estate company can't support their decision to deny a payment from us, deny payments to bring our account current from 2 separate parties, and then turn around and ask the court to award them with rent money for the time that we've been on the property fighting for our civil rights that have been violated by this discrimination and racism.

We want to ask you to please share this petition again with your friends, family, and social media outlets to help us reach 1,000 signatures!
