Greetings Community,
The other day we sent out an update about the status of the land in our civil lawsuit and we asked everyone to reach out to HUD Housing Authority because they've not been returning our phone calls for several months. One of our beautiful community members contacted me yesterday and let me know that there was some information she needed in order to get through to the correct HUD Regional Office for our area (New Mexico).
That community member was gracious enough to write down the prompts for us to share that with all of you in an effort to make an effective impact on the HUD Office and encourage them to give our case the attention it needs.
The quickest way to reach out to HUD regarding our case is via email at complaint_office_06@hud.gov and we are asking that if you send an email please CC: cristinamooney27@gmail.com and daniel.mooney88@gmail.com so we can have a record of it for our communications with HUD.
You also have the option to call and leave a message or speak with someone at (877) 669-9997. There are a number of prompts you will need to follow to ensure that the system directs you to Region 6, Forth Worth Regional HUD Office in Texas:
- Press 1 for English, 2 para Espanol
- Press 2 for the complaint
- Enter 3 digits for area code (505 or 575)
- The phone operator will continue to give a list of other options and either answer the phone or send you to a voicemail. Estimated time for this process is 6 minutes from start to finish.
- (800) 877 8339 (TTY number)
The following is a list of information that is required for the Fort Worth Regional Office to find and follow-up on our submitted claim from August 2018 and December 2018 (duplicate claims filed as a result of no response from HUD):
- Names: Daniel and Cristina Mooney
- Area Code: 505 or 575 (New Mexico)
- Contact #: (720) 400-5141 (Mooney's contact #)
- Description of Issue: The Mooney's have been targeted by a group of white southerners, the Cibola County Sheriff's Department and an unlicensed Real Estate Company by the name of Santa Rita Land and Cattle Company LLC and they have been unable to get in touch with anyone from the HUD Office between August - December 2018 and December 2018 - February 2019 to request legal assistance for the civil lawsuit that is currently ongoing. I feel that they have been targeted as a result of their skin color, race, and religious beliefs. And I feel that HUD should be representing this couple to help stop the racism, abuse of authority, discrimination, harassment and racism in this rural area of New Mexico.
We want to thank those of you who have signed and continued to support us by staying connected and sharing these updates when they come through to you. All your efforts mean so much to us and we are deeply humbled by any efforts you can put forth toward this Call to Action for the HUD Housing Authority Office.
