A Lovely Note

"I stayed Cincinnati for 2 years (about 18 years ago) to study minimally invasive surgery under Drs. Flege and [X]. Dr. Flege was and is always kind to me. I keep admiring him since he is the most modest and diligent man I ever saw. Modesty and diligence is the highest virtue we Japanese respect most. So, he is my soul mentor. I want to continue to better my performance and spirits as surgeon, partly because I want to pay back his kindness and what I learned from him by getting closer to him. "
