Hello everyone, I had to post that we have broken the 190,000 mark and I’m hoping we do get to the 200,000 before the Protest March on the 21st of August. I just wanted to explain what I meant when I said I’m worried that Live Export is being forgotten about. I maybe should have said “ I know we don’t forget and can’t forget what happens to these animals, but we do forget to inform the uninformed”. You see there are hundreds, thousands and possibly millions of people who have never heard of Live Export, or there are those who have heard about it, but have given it no REAL thought as to what Live Export really is. You see we are the informers, we need to talk to our neighbour, our work colleagues, our families and ANYONE we can expose and tell the truth of what LIVE EXPORT is really is. I was chatting to customer at work recently and he asked “what have you been up to?” I told him “I’ve been really busy planning my Stand Against Live Export Protest March in Canberra”. A bit intrigued he asked “is it about refugees?” So when I told him what Live Export was he acted as though I’d made it up and was taking the Mickey out of him, then he realised I was serious (I think the tears gave it away). He said he’d never even heard of Alive Export (yes I corrected him) and gave him my email address so I could send him information and proof - I guess. He is not the first person who I thought would know about Live Export and didn’t. So my point being, WE need to be the informers, I know we will never forget, but we can never forget to get the message out there either. Stay safe everyone.
