The foundation of the Catholic Church lays on the symbol that the cross represent. A symbol of selflessness and sacrifice. Attributes that the sister of St Joseph embraced while serving the people of Parkdale for over 100 years. To remove such a symbol from the hospital facade is not only disrespectful to the history of the building but also to the values that the sisters left as a legacy. Shame on those responsible for such decisions.
