🚨 STACY’S LAW — IMPORTANT PETITION UPDATE
Another step forward in the push for GPS monitoring in Scotland!
The Scottish Parliament has confirmed that on Tuesday 3 November 2026, the Delegated Powers and Law Reform Committee will examine two sets of new electronic monitoring regulations.
These regulations are part of the parliamentary process towards expanding electronic monitoring, including the proposed GPS monitoring of people on bail.
This is progress, but we are not there yet!
There are still important questions that need answering:
Will the person at risk receive an immediate alert if an exclusion zone is breached?
Will Police Scotland receive real-time alerts?
How quickly will action be taken when a breach happens?
When will GPS monitoring be rolled out across Scotland?
I have pushed from the beginning for GPS monitoring to be more than just a tag. It needs to provide meaningful protection, with early warnings and rapid action when someone is at risk.
Stacy should be alive.
We have come a long way since this petition started, but now is not the time to go quiet.
