Australian sheep and cattle are stabbed, tied up, beaten, tendons cut and throats repeatedly slit while fully conscious. How can the Australian Veterinary/Cattle Associations support the live export trade of misery!

Australian sheep and cattle are stabbed, tied up, beaten, tendons cut and throats repeatedly slit while fully conscious. How can the Australian Veterinary/Cattle Associations support the live export trade of misery!
The issue
It is unspeakable to think that the Australian Veterinary/Cattle Associations support the live cattle and sheep export trade. But they do!
SHAME ON THE AUSTRALIAN VETERINARY/CATTLE ASSOCIATIONS FOR SUPPORTING LIVE EXPORTS.
One Association you would expect to be utterly opposed to the live export trade is the Australian Veterinary Association (AVA) but this is not the case. The AVA covertly supports the trade, however, the Australian Cattle Veterinarians Association (ACVA) is far more open about its view on the live export trade. It recently gave its full support to this cruel trade of misery.
Investigations carried out by an independent Australian Animal Welfare Group Each have exposed the most unspeakable brutality toward Australian animals, in the likes of the Middle East and South East Asia. The most recent investigations took place during the 'Festival of sacrifice' in the Middle East. The majority of Australian's are opposed to this cruel trade, but the Australian government refuses to listen to our pleas.

THE AUSTRALIAN CATTLE VETERINARIANS ASSOCIATIONS POSITION ON THE LIVE CATTLE TRADE:
The Australian Cattle Veterinarians Association is a sub-section of the Australian Veterinary Association and reports on the welfare of sheep and cattle.

Australian Cattle Veterinary Association President, Dr Enoch Bergman publicly stated that the association supports the live cattle trade and added that, 'If Australia were to be removed from that conversation those cattle would be sourced elsewhere'...Dr Enoch Bergman says there is on going support from his organisation for the live cattle trade to continue.
Despite Dr Bergman's comments, the AVA has since said that it does not support the live export industry (as stated in above article), but said while the trade continues, high animal welfare standards should be maintained and enforced.
