Petition updateSt. Xavier Alumni: Vivek Ramaswamy’s Smear Tactics Do Not Reflect "Men for Others"

1,000+ Signatures Strong: People Are Paying Attention

To everyone who has signed and shared: thank you.

In just over 24 hours, more than 1,000 alumni, neighbors, and Ohioans have added their names to say what should never need saying: dredging up childhood trauma for political gain has no place in public leadership, and it directly contradicts the standard of being "Men for Others."

What began as an independent effort among a few St. Xavier graduates has struck a massive chord across our community:

⚬ Local conversation is exploding: The petition sparked an enormous discussion on the Cincinnati Reddit community, drawing thousands of votes and comments from fellow graduates, neighbors, and people across Southwest Ohio who share this disgust. (https://www.reddit.com/r/cincinnati/comments/1xcza8p/st_xavier_hs_alumni_publicly_condemn_vivek/
⚬ National attention is building: On X (formerly Twitter), respected civic and veteran leaders—including Col. Moe Davis and Amy McGrath—have amplified our message to hundreds of thousands of followers.
⚬ The press is taking notice: We have reached out to local Cincinnati and Ohio Statehouse political reporters, offering a panel of alumni ready to speak on the record about why this crosses a moral line.

Because Change.org only allows one petition update per day, we need to make today count. The campaign is betting this controversy will blow over and that Ohioans will simply look the other way. In fact, as I write, Ramaswamy is live on television refusing to discontinue disseminating this ad. We cannot let it continue.

Here is how you can help keep the momentum going right now:

1. Send this to three classmates or neighbors: Text or email the petition link (change.org/stxalumstopramaswamysmear) to just three people who care about basic decency. Personal notes from friends drive more signatures than anything else.
2. Share on social media: Repost on Facebook, LinkedIn, and X with the hashtag #MenForOthers. If you post on X, tag @VivekGRamaswamy directly so his team sees that this isn't going away.
3. Leave a reason for signing: If you haven’t already, add a public comment on the Change.org page explaining why this matters to you. Journalists read those comments to gauge the real community sentiment behind the numbers.

When we hold each other accountable to our shared values, we protect the standard of leadership our state deserves. Let’s push this past 2,500.

With awe and gratitude,
