I made this petition to make sure that our kids safety is the number one priority. This issue affects all of St. Lucie Co. and we need change now! Please sign and share with others!

With a heavy heart, I create this petition to ask our county school board to change all bus routes immediately to allow for pick up and drop off on the same side of the road where parents park. To not have our kids crossing the street to enter or exit the bus. Today we lost Yaceny Rodriguez Gonzalez to a hit and run driver who ignored the stop stick and flashing red stop sign on the bus. If we can't change the route then we ask for crossing guards to be placed on each bus and to escort kids on and off the bus as they cross the street. We will not lose another St. Lucie county child to such a horrible act of negligence.
