The county keeps saying how important the Teamster Highway Maintenance workers are, but then turn around and say it would be impossible to negotiate a better settlement with them. We urge the county's representatives to show the Teamsters how valued they are by negotiating with them NOW, before we get more snow, and ending the strike with a fair settlement.

Teamster members in St Louis County maintain the county's roads, bridges, signs, and equipment. Never is that more critical than during a snowy winter. By refusing to compromise, the county has created a situation that puts members of our community on a picket line in the snow and cold, and leaves our roads hazardous. There must be a settlement that can be reached that all sides can live with. We urge the county to find it.
