We, the undersigned, recognize that this year has been full of challenges and that all businesses have had to adapt to changes with the introduction of New York State’s COVID restrictions and reopening stages. Hex and Hop, Inc., has been rigidly following the rules: providing food, socially-distant spaces, creating outside opportunities, deliveries, a farmers’ market co-op as well as live music. The music at Hex and Hop supports local artists. It is an important part of attracting customers, making the business sustainable in Bloomingdale, and keeping one of the few storefronts open in the town.

This petition is to address the recent complaints about Hex and Hop’s outdoor entertainment. We are writing in support of Hex and Hop to continue to provide live music with these conditions:  

1) Dates/Times: Hex and Hop commit that live outdoor music will end by 9pm on Friday and Saturday night as well as holidays. On all other days, Hex and Hop will ensure that music ends by 8 pm. 
2) Hex and Hop will monitor outdoor music to ensure it is below comfortable noise levels (decibel level measured on business premises).
3) Music will continue to be outdoors while the weather permits. Once COVID restrictions lift and seasonal business decreases, Hex and Hop will ensure that musical acts are brought inside to reduce the potential impact on the community.

Please specify if you live within the Bloomingdale hamlet in support of your neighborhood nano brewery. 

If you live outside the Bloomingdale area, please indicate where you live to show support of Hex and Hop by indicating that you frequent the business and therefore bring much-needed tax revenue to our town which in turn may spark other businesses to choose Bloomingdale as their future home. Thank you for your support of a local business.
