Joe Rogan uses Spotify to profit off of dangerous lies that have done irreparable harm to our culture and our public health. He openly touts misinformation, he discourages people from getting vaccinated, promotes treatments that are dangerous, and hosts guests with extreme views to spread their own misinformation. This content is extremely harmful and has no place on Spotify. It is clear that Spotify cares more about profits than the health and well-being of its users based on its decision to remove Neil Young and ignore pleas from the medical community regarding Joe Rogan's content. We are asking Spotify to do the right thing and remove Joe Rogan from its platform or moderate it appropriately. COVID-19 is not over, and much of this is due to a wide gap in vaccination rates. As long as people refuse to get vaccinated, this virus may continue to mutate, spread, claim many more lives and disrupt life on the entire globe. It is time for large companies, like Spotify, to take a stand against dangerous peddlers of disinformation such as Joe Rogan. We are asking Spotify to remove his podcast immediately, or at the very least, create a stronger policy on misinformation that directly prevents Joe Rogan from spreading this dangerous content.
