About a year and a half ago, a white CRO and former Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputy who had retired rather than be fired for choking a man to death on his job with the SCSD and was not prosecuted, pressed his shin on the neck of a black student in Spokane at Ferris High School in Spokane Public Schools, who laid on his stomach, helpless, on the floor of the school he was required by law to attend. CRO Audie used the same technique that former Officer Chauvin used to KILL GEORGE FLOYD in Minneapolis.

One of the current Spokane School Board Members, who voted in favor of an anti-racism and equity resolution in a historical and unanimous vote on June 10, 2020, still refuses to acknowledge he was wrong in saying that he had “no reason to believe that there was an unreasonable use of any kind of force on any individual,” when he was the interim Director of Safety and Security for Spokane Public Schools at the time of the assault on the child.

Please join me in calling for the resignation of Director Kevin Morison from the Spokane Public Schools Board of Directors, so he can never participate in the systemic assault of a child again.
