Spiritual Beliefs and Practices are the reason CPS took my son from my custody. 

I'm not the only one who's child/ children have been taken for Spiritual Practices and Beliefs.

•Even when we have different beliefs systems - We are still human and have a First Amendment right. 

•No one's child/ children should be taken by CPS because they are wiccan, pagan or spiritual!

HOLISTIC MEDICINE

CPS is illegally disregarding and disrespecting the free choice for holistic / alternative medicine.

CPS asked me my views on medical care for my son &  I let CPS know I prefer holistic and natural medicine .

I shared prior that I personally heal better with herbs and teas than I have with antibiotic pills.  Marshmallow root tea , I specifically spoke to CPS about , for example. This tea healed my reoccurring uti's.

I shared with CPS at this meeting that if there is serious medical issue - we will seek medical help as necessary or go to an Emergency Room.  

I do prefer a more natural or homeopathic, holistic approach when possible though! 

After this conversation with the CPS worker, I was let know CPS was concerned that I would not get my son medical care when he needs it.

However, factual evidence shows different and what CPS said shows they did NOT listen to what I said .. 

My newborn son went to a Pediatrician at Akron Children's the first week he was born. I called the Pediatrician  the same day we got home from the hospital { 4 days after he was born} . It makes no sense for CPS to assume I would not get my son healthcare when I clearly already have been making sure he has healthcare and attended his doctor appointments in a timely manner.

THE START OF CPS INVOLVEMENT

CPS first got involved when we were in the hospital in the mother and baby room after he was first born. The hospital had saw a diagnosis of schizophrenia - a misdiagnosis from about 5 years prior to me being pregnant.

I was told at the hospital after having my baby that I have to schedule to meet with cps that week at my home or they wouldn't allow me to leave the hospital with my son. So I set up the appointment with them and they let me go home with my son.

How The Misdiagnosis Occurred:

I saw a Counselor and Psychiatrist at Coleman Behavioral Health -one time- about 5 years prior to having my son .

In the first time seeing a new Counselor they inquire about your spiritual beliefs.

She Documented that my belief in Ravens as Spirit Guides/ Protectors and Spirit Animal Medicine is delusion - Clairs Considered to be delusion and hallucinations also. Basically all of my Wiccan Beliefs were documented as being an illness ....

So fastforward to after they took my son • my CPS Case Plan for reunification was to be in Counseling and take a Parenting Class . I did both as soon as I was instructed to .

 

I paid for parenting classes , then the CPS caseworker told me to stop taking that class - it wasn't hands on enough she said -

The CPS caseworker told me I need to start with Bair Foundation Parenting classes because they'd worked with that agency before . So I called Bair and got on their waitlist. It took many months to get started. The supervisor called me and told me : This is the longest wait time we have had in 7 YEARS . She apologized to me and told me someone in their agency died unexpectedly and it's put all their workers into overload . 

I asked her to text this to me please because CPS was not listening to me when I relayed the info she shared with me via phone call. CPS was saying I was negligent and not doing my parenting classes ... even though I'd prior been paying for parenting classes and taking them. So she did send an apology in text saying there have been delays with the agency and this long wait time was in no way my fault . 

 

The parenting class curriculum with Bair was unbearably long - hundreds of pages of a parenting class booklet to get through ... 

The teacher would do video session calls with me for one hour - once a week.we would usually get to a few pages a week  .

 

I was asked questions during class for example:  Rate on a scale of 1 to 10 how bad it would be to burn your child with a cigarette 

 

I was also told its wrong to tell a child their breath stinks and to prompt to brush your teeth with your child .... 

....Doesn't really make sense how that was more hands on than the other parenting class I previously paid for ... 

 

 

 

At the end of my case when they closed it - they used me not having yet completed the parenting class as a reason to give away custody of my son to my abusive family . I asked for an extension due to the evidence from the Bair Foundation Supervisor messaging me apologizing for the delay due to an unexpected death in the agency. CPS ignored me and continued to say they are closing my case. 

 

Also noting * My abusive family lied about me in this case because they kept having miscarriages and wanted my son for theirselves.... CPS documented their lies and used them against . This was all Heresay with no Evidence. I wrote another petition about this, regarding CPS needing evidence to remove a baby from a home.... that is how this case went from an in home safety plan to an Emergency removal of my newborn son from my home the same day my abusive mother made a call to cps lying about me .... 

 

That is a Felony they committed..... 

 

This has been so illegal and unfair to me and my son ! 

 

During my court case I told by a Counselor at Summit Psychological  that my tarot cards are fortune telling delusion . (This was when I shared that I do tarot card readings as a job and for myself .)

On Another Note- I am thankful that for many years  growing up as a teenager and young adult- I had an incredible spiritual counselor who taught me about psychic readings. 

 I practiced doing channeled readings with her during my counseling sessions . She recommended to me to start doing readings for people more publicly and set my pricing at a dollar a minute... (This was almost ten years ago now . )

 This Spiritual Counselor I adored seeing ~ She switched career paths shortly after I became an adult and she opened up a spiritual reiki, yoga, belly dancing, art,  meditation ~ healing center. Following her change of jobs-  is when I went to Coleman.

 

Unfortunately CPS said my health records with my spiritual counselor of almost seven years - were irrelavent because they wont take into consideration records from more than 2 years ago from the time my son was born and the case opened. 

 

However - CPS broke their own rules they admitted here - because the misdiagnosis of schizophrenia due to me reading tarot cards and wiccan beliefs and practices - happened more than 2 years prior to me having my son . It happened about 5 years before having my son .......... 

 

So, they would go further back than 2 years in my records if it was something they felt they could use against me negatively - (which they say 2 years is their cut off date for record searches ) 

BUT if it was something more than 2 years ago in my records that reflects positively on me - they refused to acknowledge it ...

He speaks on how how mental health professionals need to take a serious look at what is actually spirituality and religion or what is a mental health crisis . He speaks on how some beliefs may seem bizarre to some, but are not delusional nor pathological.
