Main Street Manayunk is a vibrant neighborhood in Philadelphia filled with small businesses that bring in a large amount of pedestrian traffic. Recently, it has seen an increased number of motor vehicles traveling well over the 25 MPH speed limit resulting in collisions with pole lights, street planters, the facades of businesses, and way too many close calls for pedestrians crossing the street.
