The lives of both our residents in Callahan County and its visitors are more valuable than the few moments of time that would be saved by not decreasing the speeds at the major intersections of this roadway between Clyde, Texas and Highway 36.

There have been multiple accidents and unfortunate fatalities at all of the major intersections on F.M. 18 between the City of Clyde and Highway 36. This is a major transportation route for many of the citizens of our county and its visitors. Decreasing the rate of speed at these intersections would allow drivers more time to react to any danger that may present itself and ultimately make safer driving conditions for all drivers in the county.

With the county growing exponentially in size through the recent years and the growth we have coming not just from residents but future visitors, immediate action must be taken to ensure the safety of all drivers and their families. We are a strong and close community who stands together and demands actions be taken to ensure the safety of our family and friends.
