Dear leopards,

So it is death sentence or life imprisonment for you, and there's 2050 people who truly care, and take a minute to sign and share. Even though that probably won't change the mind of stubborn Offficials, at least it is good to know people do care. There's actually far more than 2050 people (if you count the Indian mobbing villagers to start with....or the South African or U.S. hunters...) that would take more than a minute and lots of $$$ to take your life and feel proud of it. On Java....the release of leopards is not any easier. So sad if wild leopards get life imprisonment. Everywhere enclosures are constructed, as we all know the future is bleak (the occasional leopard that is released, like some Persian leopards, are lucky ones and rare ones) ....for you to live wild and free, like you should. This is the world you have to survive in; for many years we are determined to support your species, whether in the wild or in captivity. People tend to forget: they would not sign for us, but for your survival and freedom. Yet, far too often personal feelings get in the way...... Our plan B is to at least make sure the leopards that were refused to live wild, can have a future camp of at least 10 HA (preferably more)......Without any progress in plan A or plan B or project is stuck, and forced to stop......it will be changed into 'just' a sanctuary and give life-long care and love to the current residents, no future plans or progress anymore. But for plan B we would have to ask for space, and funds....sorry dear, dear leopards, but we could already be grateful for the people who indeed have a heart for your cause and sign/share, but you wouldn't honestly think that anybody (apart from the same wonderful souls who keeps on supporting and not just in word) , on this same planet, would reach out and donate some HA's, fence and funds???? Yet, everybody keeps making comments like "they belong to the wild!", "they should be released!". Well they can forever be silent if not supporting this fight! No, I guess it is a wake up call......not sure what else we can do really, apart from the continuous loving and caring (within our reach) for our leopards, the supporting of wild leopards (within our reach), to keep (or try to) raise awareness and give education.............feeling frustrated deeply inside, knowing so much more could have been done for you. Where there's a will, there's a way.............. Yours forever!
