We oppose the following:                   

1) The introduction of additional competency certification for specifically dedicated hunters, sport shooters and professional hunters.                                             

2) The renewal of competency certification every 5 years

3) The lack of provision for people under 18 to obtain competency certification for the application of a legal firearm

The proposed amendments do not only add additional work and admin for both the firearm owner and SAPS, they also blatantly single out dedicated hunters, sport shooters and professional hunters!
