RHINOS IN AFRICAJOHANNESBURG, South Africa
Sep 26, 2019
Hume needs to raise capital in order to “maintain” his 1700 rhinos. Not one bid was received when he placed his “nature reserve” property on auction.
He believes that the reason might be that the property does not look appealing in the current drought situation.
Hume has applied to DEFF to have his rhino ranch in the North West granted “captive breeding” status by CITES. If he is granted such a status he can apparently trade rhino horn legally on global markets.
