Dear Minister Creecy,

The late Minister Molewa’s selection of panel of “experts” to advise on the domestic rhino horn trade is listed in this media article. 

This was the beginning of a very slippery slope. 

The ban on the domestic horn trade could be reinstated at anytime this decision would bring much needed credibility to our country.

Destruction of our stockpiles would save the species by sending a strong message that rhino is valueless. 

By keeping the stockpiles locked up and protected South Africa is keeping an internationally banned substance and giving it value.
