Once again a massive shipment of rhino horns has been intercepted.  This time the interception occurred in South Africa and people were arrested during the transfer.

Surely the authorities will be able to ascertain where the horns originated from and who they were being sold to. 

The indications are that the 187 horns with an estimated value of 300 million ZAR horns are farmed horns and not horns from poaching attacks. 

We have to question the inadequacy of the SA government’s ability  with regard to the policing of a legal domestic trade in South Africa.

On the 13/04/19 the team received information about an undisclosed amount of rhino horns that were going to be transported and sold on the black market.
It is believed that the shipment of horns ranging from small to large horns were to be transported in an np200 along with an escort vehicle. The team was activated in late hours of the morning, the vehicles were followed from Centurion to the North West Province, where a tactical plan was executed.
