There are rumors afoot that one of the men caught with the rhino horn last weekend is related to John Hume. John Hume is a rhino horn farmer, he is the man who won the court case against the South African Department of Environmental Affairs.
He has been complaining of late of running out of money because of the restrictions placed on domestic trade of rhino horn by the DEA are too stringent, and Apparently none of his rhino horn auctions in South Africa were successful.
Is this rhino horn arrest linked to the shipment stopped in Hong Kong last week? The South African authorities and the DEA have a lot to answer for. It is quite obvious to the world that they are incapable of controlling the legal domestic trade.
We demand that the domestic trade in rhino horn is shut down.
