This Is a prime example of what happens when a shelter prioritizes out-of-state animals and continues to choose to ignore the needs of our local community. If our local situation is taken care of and facilities  still have extra room then by all means start branching out to other states to help where you can, especially during disaster situations. However, don’t ignore your local community where animals will literally freeze to death, are at risk for being euthanized for space and  there are literally 100s of desperate pleas online for help.
