They always state to local animals in need that they are “at capacity” or “There is a waitlist”. According to the last interview, they run at 80% capacity for emergency intakes. Does this very sick kitten not qualify as an emergency animal that needs medical attention? Are the transported Oklahoma kittens clogging up the local emergency animal intakes?
(Another rescue (again!!) stepped in to help this kitten and kitten is is receiving treatment.)
