This is the article posted in the Minot Daily News after the backlash from Minot residents against SVAS for not attending the surrender event in their own community. Shelbi Waters goes as far as to question validity of ALL of the rescues in Minot and the other rescues in the state that attended. The rescues are ALL valid 501(c) approved rescues and are not all home-based as she suggests. 
Remember that under Shelbi Waters direction, they have attended 2 previous surrender events in our state and “pulled” animals from these events for adoption in Minot. 
The statements made in this article by SVAS are not community or even state oriented and definitely fractured the animal rescue community in our state.
