Thank you! Over 200 have already signed our Petition to FEMA Regional Administrator. Let’s keep the momentum going— we bring required change step by step. The Fairfield taxpayers and property owners deserve a fair deal: full information and disclosure. Unfortunately m, the Town has ignored six years of warnings that the Penfield Pavilion was not built according to approved plans. And thus failure caused the loss of the$4.2 million grant! So the taxpayers had to shoulder the whole cost!
Now, because the Town is in violation of FEMA refs, townspeople are facing a downgrading of the Flood Insurance program. For six years, in the face of FEMA notifications, the Town has failed to correct or remediate the violations. The petition highlights to FEMA that the stake holders in Town we’re never informed of the violation— town administrators kept that information quiet and did not inform the people— even though they issued a weekly report on all the things they were doing!
Please share with your families, friends, business owners you deal with, your State Legislators, Congressional Reps, and Town RTM members. Fairfielders deserve a say on how to resolve this mess which they did not create. We thank FEMA for their presentation last Thursday, and want the Penfield Building in compliance with the agreed upon plans. We want the beaches preserved, and the Flooding management program supported.

Thank you,
