Your love for the town of Fairfield, your desire to protect the Beaches and water front areas from Floods, your willingness to help your neighbors— all are shining through your standing up and asking FEMA to hear from the townspeople— the taxpayers and property owners who pay the bills- who have been kept in the dark about this mess for six years.

We know, from FEMA’s presentation last week, that they have been VERY patient with the Town; this issue arose over SIX years ago! The taxpayers have funded the Town every year those years we’ll over a $Billion — yet we’re never told they were in violation of FEMA standards, and that their flood insurance program was at risk.
