One of the downsides to using HENkaku is its requirements to use outdated firmware. While h-encore allows the Vita to "spoof" the PSN and thus allow you to access the online features and services, Vita games requiring later firmware have always been simply unplayable to HENkaku users. That is until now.

With the release of a new plugin called ref00d.skprx by CelesteBlue, dots_tb and Princess of Sleeping, it is now possible to run games requiring firmware 3.69 on firmware 3.60 to 3.68 without compatibility packs.

Personally, I have not yet run into any games requiring 3.69, but it's good to know there is now an easier solution for that. Or at least something to hold us over until HENkaku works on 3.69.
