Adapt Bloodborne to Film

Adapt Bloodborne to Film
The Issue
The Bloodborne video game is a modern masterpiece. Hidetaka Miyazaki and the FromSoft team have created a game that is uniquely creative and atmospheric. Bloodborne features classic gothic horror themes that people love, but also provides a deeper philosophical questions that people looking deeper to get into the franchise can sink their teeth into. The world of Bloodborne, however, has limited exposure because of its format as an exclusive title from Sony. As a video game, it prevents some people from being able to access it, and they instead read lore online or watch letsplays on YouTube, which are great for community building. Despite being known as difficult game, however, Bloodborne among the top 15 best selling PlayStation 4 games, and one of the big draws for people to own the console. Bringing this universe to film or television would garner a wider audience and would renew interest in the Bloodborne franchise, perhaps even enabling a remaster or a sequel to be created for the game’s fifth anniversary in 2020. A Bloodborne film would also provide a unique challenge for a director and cast, working with new material and merging the two biggest entertainment industries today--film and video games.
