The release of the 20th Anniversary PlayStation 4 has been met with both praise and controversy. The praise is due to the beautifully designed system in the classic grey that evokes great nostalgia and pride of ownership. The controversy is due to the missteps that followed to acquire this system. In fact, more popular than the news of the release of the 20th anniversary console is the fact that the limited quantity brought forth eBay opportunists who are reselling the console 3x-40x the original selling price! Most of the buyers are genuine PlayStation fans that would just like to own the system and are forced to give their money to resellers instead of Sony. Some are even current PS4 owners willing to repurchase the system. 

This is a plea to Sony to manufacture the 20th Anniversary Console as a non-collectors edition; it would pack in everything in the original box EXCEPT the numbered plate affixed to the system. This way, the collectors can still enjoy the exclusivity of their collectors purchase while the rest of us can enjoy the ability to purchase the nostalgic system.
