Hello all,
Through my small group work, we have been able to define a few specific goals related to indoor air quality and classroom safety already preliminarily shared with Senator McGuire's office.
The first pertains to mandatory equipment, and the second relates to protocols each school must follow when there is bad outdoor air quality. With this equipment and these practices in place, we hope that indoor air quality remains low (suggesting at or below AQI 100) - even when it is higher outdoors. If that is the case, indoor air quality is expected to be safe for our children to attend class. If however indoor air quality does not remain below AQI 100, we request that classrooms be closed until indoor AQI drops below 100.
We have so many other ideas for inclusion, and are looking forward to our meeting with Senator McGuire to refine it all. Thank you for your support!
