Dear Fellow Somerset Parent,

Thanks very much for your support and for signing the petition.

The reason for this petition is that I have had many conversations/communications re the use of mobile phones in the classroom with senior members of the school administration during 2022, but I have not been able to effect change. 

The feedback that I received from Allison Foster (Head of Senior School) on 8 August was “I’ve not heard from the concerned parents you mention but welcome their feedback, if they wish to direct it to me.”

Accordingly, it is very important that we make our voices heard.

If you have not done so already, can I kindly ask that you do the following:

1.  Forward the petition onto other Somerset parents to sign.  Here is the link:  https://chng.it/p2ycr7Pv

2.  Contact Allison Foster (afoster@somerset.qld.edu.au) and Craig Bassingthwaighte (cbassingthwaighte@somerset.qld.edu.au) directly to express any concerns that you have re the use of mobile phones in the classroom.

3.  Print the attached petition document and gather hand written signatures from Somerset parents at soccer games, Fathers Day event, gymnasium, school drop-off, etc, then please send the completed forms to me so that I can collate.
