Recent reports from Foodbank Australia reveal that food insecurity now affects 3.5 million households in Australia. The rising cost of living crisis continues with another interest rate hike in November. This will put more Australians in a dire situation as more people are forced to choose between putting a roof over their heads or food on the table.

The government can no longer continue to rely on welfare organisations and food shelters to address this growing inequality.
