The national debt is a crushing burden carried by all Americans in the form of ever-rising inflation. All over the country, people are getting poorer and poorer because of rising prices, struggling to make ends meet. To attempt to fix this, the Biden administration printed money, resulting in a disastrous  devaluing of the dollar and a terrible surge in inflation.  My family, for example, pays 30% more for gas and  30 to 50% more for groceries per month now, compared to 2019, while our family income is almost unchanged. 

To help all of us hard-working Americans, I propose this for Constitutional Amendment 28:

 (a)Congress shall not, except in times of war, approve a budget whose total expenses are greater than the total revenue of the preceeding year.

(b) Congress shall not, except as necessitated by war, allow the country to carry a debt greater than can be paid in full within two years.

(c)When the nation shall carry debt greater than can be paid in full within two years, Congress shall reduce discretionary spending by 15% or more, as shall be determined, until such time as the debt is paid off.
