The Issue

First of all we would like to thank you all for the support we've received so far since posting about the retention planning application, we are so so grateful.
Since opening Social Bean, it feels like we haven't been able to catch much of a break. We've been broken in to not once, but twice, and have unfortunately drawn the short straw dealing with what seems like never ending roadworks in support of the Metro Scheme. These disruptions have very real impacts for a small independent business.
Through all these complications, we continue to show up every single day, 7 days a week. It is very important to us to be part of the community, hence opening for evening GAA matches, charity and club events, blitzes, kids camps, nursery, school sports day, the list goes on. From the beginning, Social Bean was never supposed to be somewhere to just sell coffee, it's a place where people in our community can gather, chat, laugh, and it's a community we are so proud to be part of.
Social Bean goes beyond Fingallians GAA Club too. With the huge amount of construction happening around Swords at the moment, construction workers have become a significant part of our customer base. Social Bean gives them somewhere they can easily pull in and park, grab a coffee and some food before getting back to work.
These might seem like small things individually, but put them together and that's what a community local business is. Right now, Social Bean needs that community.
So we ask if Social Bean has brought something positive to your GAA Club, Fingallians, to your area, Swords, to your day, to your lunch break or simply to your daily routine, we would be forever grateful if you would consider supporting us.
