Support FREE Period Products at SJSU!

The Issue

Women Against Period Poverty (WAPP) is an SJSU organizational campaign with a goal of getting SJSU to install dispensers and provide FREE menstrual products in all restrooms on campus!

Currently, there are only two buildings on campus with free period product dispensers (the Student Union & Duncan Hall), and those are only in the women's restrooms and were paid for by the Associated Students. SJSU has a responsibility towards its students to provide an inclusive, equitable, and accessible environment for every Spartan and that means treating pads & tampons as what they are: necessities! If SJSU doesn't expect students to have to pay for and bring their own toilet paper from home, then free menstrual products should be available, too!

Spartans who are experiencing displacement, housing insecurity, or a lack of income, Spartans who have a disability, Spartans who menstruate and choose to use the men's restrooms, and Spartans who want to attend a school that prioritizes the rights and dignity of its students should use their voice and support our demand to make period products at SJSU free and available in all restrooms!
