Have you ever tried to open up your email or log onto twitter and you couldn't reach the network? Has a professor ever assigned homework, quizzes, or exams on canvas and you were not able to complete them because the internet was down or so slow that it wouldn't even load? Well frankly, I am tired of it.

As students, we give this school a substantial amount of money ever year through tuition, classes, books, and even food. According to the 2016-2017 SJSU Budget Report we pay nearly 160 million dollars in tuition alone. Shouldn't we have a say in where that money goes? I say instead of spending the money on a multi million dollar gym and renovating our already working food court we should direct a portion of the funds to improving our wireless network strength and coverage. In addition, we should reactivate all of the Ethernet ports in the dorm buildings as that improves internet speed for students living on campus.

We live in the heart of, not only America's, but one of the worlds most innovative regions, Silicon Valley. Where Apple, Tesla, Adobe, and more have decided to set up shop and conduct their corporations. How can we live in the most technological innovative region in the world, but yet we can't even watch a video in order to educate ourselves. After all isn't it SJSU's job to educate us? How can we do that if they do not give us the tools to accomplish our learning objectives.
